Is cleaning included in the weekly rate?

Yes, cleaning is included in the weekly rate. Guests are asked to leave the cottage in a respectful, clean, and orderly fashion. Any unreasonable cleaning required may result in a charge against the guest damage deposit.

What else does the weekly rate include?

The weekly rate includes a welcome basket, all quality linens and towels, a starter pack of household items and cleaners, two outside patio umbrellas, tables and chairs, a BBQ, and four adult bikes for cycling in the immediate countryside or along the canals.

What time is check in/check out?

Property access is from 4pm on the first day of booking until 10am on last day, unless agreed beforehand with owner.

Do you offer any assistance with check in?

Yes, assistance is available for check-in.

Guests can opt either for late arrival by advance notice to the local housekeeper, who lives nearby for assistance. Or, they can arrange to meet her on arrival. A handy alternative is to request access to the code for the lockbox, located at the rear of the house for a key to the front door. The housekeeper is available to welcome guests, provide information, and offer suggestions. Additionally, there is abundant local information in the house as well as a nearby tourist office within walking distance.

Is the cottage child- and pet-friendly?

The cottage is on three levels, serviced by an interior staircase. Very young children might have a challenge using the stairs and there are no safety gates closing off access.

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted in the cottage.

I noticed you offer bookings Saturday to Saturday. Can I arrive on a different day?

The Saturday to Saturday booking schedule is standard for the cottage. However, we're open to discussing alternative arrival days, especially outside of the peak season.

What is there to do in the area?

The cottage is well situated in Guémené-sur-Scorff, offering access to medieval history, including remnants of the original fortress. Explore nearby medieval villages and beaches just an hour away. In the village, enjoy cafes, creperies, a boulangerie, and shops, along with a supermarket within a 10-minute walk. Weekly markets provide fresh produce, meat, fish, poultry, and cheese.

What is your cancellation policy?

To receive a 100% refund, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in, to receive a 50% refund, guests must cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in. There will be no refund if cancelled 14 days or less before check-in.

Is the cottage open year-round?

The cottage is closed from mid November until the end of March, unless by prior arrangement with the owner.
