Bon Repos Abbey

The Cistercian abbey of Bon-Repos was founded in 1184, ruined during the Revolution and then partially restored in 1986 and now hosts contemporary art exhibitions. It hosts the renowned Son et Lumiere show for a week in August.

A light spectacular, as hundreds of volunteers re-enact Breton history, from Conomor, the Breton Bluebeard, to the Crusades and the Roman invasion: 2,000 costumes, 400 extras and actors, hundreds of floats and carriages, horses and farm animals, with giant image projections of the ancient Abbey ruins.
